He got us the 762 QD phantom, the one we wanted, and almost matched their price on it. This is just a hypotheses of what most likely happened and its one that makes the most sense.īut once again Mike at Goodmans Arms REALLY helped my dad and I out. Even thought they messed up and could afford a $100 or so hit. What we believed happened was they posted the wrong price and sold it to us for the wrong price, found out the price they sold it for was for the direct thread 5.56 can at their dealer pricing of $580 and didn't find out until after we did the paperwork or when we called in june/ july and then they just "lost" the paperwork so they wouldn't take a hit. We weren't NEEDING a free whatever but I felt they would offer something with a screw up that big but no, just a, sorry that happened. Which we did get back but no offer, no im sorry we messed up, heres a small discount, free hat, free I don't know. So they wasted 11 months of our time and our $580 plus dollars. luckily they could print out the sales receipt. They literally "lost" everything, our trust, the form 4, the everything. about 5 days later he got a call and stopped in. My dad called grices and they said they would look into it and would call back. 9 at the latest (if they did wait till june/ july to send it in) but the wait time is down to 6 months) I talked to the ATF guy and he said he had NO RECORD of that transaction. My dad got the serial number from them in the beginning of this month (March) and on the 12th I called the ATF to check the status because that was about 11 months waiting. In the winter my dad stopped in and asked about the status and they said they hadn't heard anything yet. Well we didn't hear anything, didn't hear anything. To which they responded with, "oh you wanted it sent in the regular mail then?" Uh yea that's what all the other shops do. But if it didn't work or what not we figured they would just send it snail mail.Ībout some time in June or July my dad had stopped by or called ( I cannot remember which) and asked them about the status. It was paid for on 4-6-14 about 2 or 3 days before E-File was shut down. we jumped on it and bought it and did the paperwork. They've been running $600- $700 and grice's had one for $580. They ordered in 2 QD muzzle brakes for us, a 556 and a 7.62, they said $62 a piece, when they finally got in they charged us 80 to 90 a piece for the muzzle brakes and just said "oh well idk who said that, but that's the price"Īs I have probably posted months and months ago my father and I purchased a YHM 762 phantom (QD) from them. I've gotten tired of poor selection and outrageous prices (IE Grices in clearfield, Nationals in Jersey shore) among others. (Bobs Army & Navy in Clearfield and Goodmans Arms in Mcelhatten (Outside of Lock Haven) Which I have much good to say about both.) Now at the ripe age of 21 I no longer do this and really only give business to 2 "local" shops. Best price on ammo, Cheapest gun, cheapest suppressor, etc. I use to ALWAYS be on the hunt for the best deal. but would it not be worth it to spend 20, 50, or even 100 dollars more at another store for a gun and not deal with their terrible customer service. I understand the draw, large selection, good prices on stuff etc. I urge everyone to stop giving grice their business. If you run into an IP ban, it likely wasn't you.
